The Future Of CDs
We have received more and more emails requesting the ability to download Michael's music rather than buy a physical CD.  This got us thinking about the future trends in the music business.  We found some interesting information we though we would share with you.

In polls taken, it appears that while aspiring studio engineers and musicians still want to produce 'albums,' they're not buying albums when asked what they buy. CD swapping and file-sharing are still the #1 methods for purchasing music.  The #1 CD purchasing demographic in America today? Ages 45-54.  The least likely to buy a CD? People age 18-24.  The least likely to buy music period, in favor of getting music from radio or some other form of broadcast medium? 35-44
Recent studies indicate that people ages 45-54  buy an average of 9 downloads per month, compared to the national average of 6 download purchases per month.  The 25-34 age bracket is the most likely to utilize newer technologies in urban markets ... Food for thought.
